The editor of this blog, Jon Swerens, is editor of the “Allen County Photo Album 1852-1954” and the new “Allen County Photo Album 1955-59.” Jon is the news and presentation editor for The News-Sentinel, where he has worked since 1998.

He grew up in eastern Ohio and is a graduate of Martins Ferry (Ohio) High School and of West Virginia University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
